Native creative guide

Native Creative is a type of ad that is shown in the same form as the publisher app showing an ad. It's composed of your app's icon, title, description, a CTA(Call-to-action) button, and often along with an image or video. Copy this spreadsheet to find overall creative checklists for your target country! 

 

Native ads examples

There are 3 types of native ads. Each type consists of different elements as follows.

Important: Note that the examples below are for demonstration purposes only and how your native creatives are actually displayed on native inventories can vary across different inventories.

Native ads spec

Note: If you are looking to run campaigns targeting Japan, you are strongly encouraged to prepare native creatives to access the inventories of local exchanges accepting only native creatives. You should prepare native creatives for the following exchanges.

Note for campaigns targeting Korea: 1200 x 600 is the size exposed to Kakao inventory only in Korea. Check the Kakao Exchange Guide when running the campaign in Korea.

Note: Timetree exchange is only available in Japan at this time.

 

Native video spec

Format MP4 video format
Dimension Landscape 16:9 ratio (1280 x 720) is recommended. Other ratios are all accepted.
Portrait 9:16 ratio (720 x 1280) is recommended. Other ratios are all accepted.
Minimum height and width 640px
Length 6 secs ~ 100 secs, videos within 30 seconds recommended
Frame 24 FPS +
Size Max 10MB
Thumbnail  Format  JPEG, JPG, PNG, GIF
Dimension

360x480, 360x640, 480x360, 480x480, 640x360, 720x1280, 1280x720, 1200 x 628 (for Timetree exchange only)

The image needs to have an equal ratio to the corresponding video dimension.

Size  Max 500KB (1MB for gif format)

Important: For Timetree exchange currently available only in Japan, you should prepare native videos with 16:9 ratio and 640 x 360px.

Tip: You don't need to prepare a thumbnail image using our auto thumbnail feature. Learn how to create a thumbnail automatically
