To successfully track your campaign performance, you must integrate postbacks with your MMP. This guide walks you though how to set up postbacks with AppsFlyer.
Step 1: Sign in to AppsFlyer and select your app.
Sign in to AppsFlyer. From the startup page, type the name of your app into the search bar and click the app of your choice.
Step 2: Find and select Moloco to configure postback settings.
From the left sidebar, click Active Integrations. Type "Moloco" into the search bar. Then, click and add Moloco. This takes you to Moloco integration where you can configure your postback settings.
Step 3: Toggle on Activate partner to start sending data to Moloco.
From the Integration tab, toggle on Activate partner. This toggle must be on to allow data sharing between AppsFlyer and Moloco.
Step 4: Toggle on organic/non-organic indication.
We recommend toggling on Share organic/non-organic indication to be able to tell whether an install was organic or not.
Step 5: Toggle on Install view-through attribution.
Be sure that Install view-through attribution is toggled on.
Important: If you are looking to run CTV campaigns, Cross-platform equal attribution priority can be toggled on as well. Otherwise, it must be toggled off.
Step 6: Set up default postbacks to send Moloco all postback data.
For Default postbacks, select All media sources, including organic from the drop-down menu for each event. This option lets you share with Moloco all postback data, which includes Moloco-attributed, unattributed, and organic data.
Important: Unattributed postbacks don't include any of your media source information.
Step 7: Toggle on In-app event postbacks and specify a postback window for in-app event postbacks.
Be sure to toggle on In-app event postbacks. You must select an option for In-app event window to specify for how long in-app event postbacks are sent to Moloco following install, reattribution or re-engagement. For In-app event window, we recommend choosing Lifetime to ensure that in-app event postbacks are always sent to Moloco for optimizing your campaigns.
Tip: If you are an advertiser working with an agency and both you and your agency are using Moloco, you can set up separate postback windows, given that the agency has been granted permission to configure in-app event postbacks.
Step 8: Specify in-app events to send postback data for.
Select Send all events (excludes uninstalls and sessions) and All media sources, including organic to send Moloco all postback data, which includes Moloco-attributed, unattributed, and organic data for campaign optimization.
Important: If you are looking to run campaigns optimized for events that aren't included in this option (e.g., app open), select Add manually and Add event instead to add events to track. For each event you add, you must select All media sources, including organic to share with Moloco all postback data, which includes Moloco-attributed, unattributed, and organic data for campaign optimization. Event names are case sensitive and we recommend typing the event name into the search bar to look it up. Be sure to include uninstall event in the list of selected events. To be able to do so, you must have configured uninstall measurement in AppsFlyer.
Tip: AppsFlyer provides a list of recommended events by vertical. Moloco's model optimizes based on the type, quantity and quality of your in-app events.
Step 9: Send revenue data to Moloco.
We recommend choosing Values & revenue. Choosing this option lets you share with Moloco all event parameters, including any revenue value attached. Revenue data is required for ROAS optimized campaigns.
When Send all events (excludes uninstalls and sessions) has been selected: When Add manually has been selected:
Step 10: Review and save your postback settings.
When you are finished, click Save Integration.
