After you have integrated postbacks with AppsFlyer, you must set up tracking links to track campaign performance. This guide walks you through the process of setting up tracking links for Re-engagement (RE) campaigns with AppsFlyer.
Step 1: Specify the tracking link type.
From the same page where you have integrated postbacks, click Attribution link. For Choose your attribution link type, select Use OneLink and select the OneLink template to use. Click the box next to Deep linking and enter the deep link value(s) to enable deep linking.
Important: Be sure that the OneLink template is configured for retargeting and is compatible with Universal Links and Android App Links (i.e., Android URI scheme). For more details, see AppsFlyer's OneLink guide.
Step 2: Add parameters to track.
Under Attribution link parameters, add or remove parameters to track for campaign performance. To learn more about each of the parameters, see AppsFlyer's tracking link guide and Moloco's tracking link guide for AppsFlyer.
Step 3: Configure retargeting settings.
For Re-engagement (RE) campaigns, be sure that the Retargeting settings toggle is on. For URI scheme, enter the raw deep link URL that opens your app or the raw deep link path leading to the page in your app you would like to have users land on.
We recommend toggling on Ignore active users for retargeting only when you need to set an inactivity window, during which active users are filtered out. Otherwise, this should be toggled off to avoid any potential negative impact to campaign performance.
For Re-engagement window, specify the time window following re-engagement conversion, during which in-app events are primarily attributed to re-engagement.
Step 4: Configure lookback windows for click and view-through tracking links.
If you like, you can update the default lookback windows for click and view-through tracking links. To learn more, see AppsFlyer's guide on lookback windows. If you are working with other ad networks, be sure to align your lookback windows with those of all other ad networks you are working with in order to keep your measurement standards consistent across all your ad networks.
There is no need to make any changes to the links as they are automatically generated based on your parameter selections and tracking link configuration settings.
Note that the view-through lookback window only applies to the deterministic attribution model, and you must ensure that view-through attribution via probabilistic modeling has been enabled. To enable probabilistic view-through attribution, go to Configuration > App Settings and toggle on Enable view-through attribution via probabilistic modeling below Attribution.
Important: If you are setting up OneLink tracking links, be sure to toggle off Cross-platform attribution under View-through attribution. This is intended for CTV campaigns only.
Step 5: Save and register tracking links.
Review the configurations and click Save Attribution link to save changes. Copy over the tracking links to Moloco Ads to register. To learn how to register tracking links with Moloco, see the tracking link registration guide.
Important: Whenever you make changes to any of the configurations, you must copy over and re-register the tracking links on Moloco Ads.
