Creative settings

Follow the step-by-step guide below to add new creatives. If you want to learn how to add creatives to creative groups, refer to Creative group settings.

Note: The available exchanges and inventories may vary depending on the creative(s) added. For more information, check the Moloco creative & exchange guidelines

 

Upload new creatives

  1. Select your ad account from the drop-down menu on the left.
  2. Select your app on the left sidebar menu. 
  3. Click Creatives under the app.
  4. Click Create button.
  5. Drag files or click the Select files button to upload your image, native image, and video creatives assets all together in the highlighted area in the screenshot below. And those creative assets will automatically be placed in their appropriate tab.___________2022-08-25_______9.21.01.png
  6. While creatives are being uploaded, you'll see a file upload status window, showing the progress of each creative upload. 
    Note:  If there are any dimension error messages, the file will not be uploaded.___________2022-06-29______4.57.57.png
  7. To complete the creative settings, follow the step-by-step instructions below by creative types.

 

 

Image creative

  • Check Image ads guide to ensure that the images meet the creative guidelines and specs.

 

  1. Under the Image tab, you will see the list of images you've uploaded.
  2. Click Generate button on the right corner of the images to automatically generate image banners with all sizes or all missing sizes based on the existing images in the creative group. Moloco will create banners based on your app's store information. screencast_2022-08-25_09-24-32.gif
    Tip: Click Upload to add more images or click Import to select image assets that have previously been uploaded.
  3. Once all creatives have been added, click Create button. 

 

 

Native creative

There are 2 types of Native creative — Native image and Native video and we recommend registering both types.

  • Check Native ads guide to ensure that the native creatives meet the creative guidelines and specs.
  • When running the campaign in Korea, we recommend preparing 1200x600 native images to expose your ads in Kakao inventory. Check the specific Kakao exchange guide.
  • Samsung exchange has different guidelines on native creative. If you want to run your ads on Samsung exchange, refer to Samsung exchange creative guide.

 

  • Native image settings

    1. Click Native tab on the creative upload page.
    2. Click Image tab under Native type.
    3. You will see the list of native images you've uploaded.
    4. Click Generate button on the right corner of the native images to automatically generate native images with the size you want. Moloco will create banners based on your app's store information. ___________2022-08-25______4.42.32.png
      Tip: Click Upload to add more images or click Import to select image assets that have previously been uploaded.
    5. Upload or import your App icon
    6. Fill out Business title, Description, and Call To Action text.
      Field Description
      Business title

      Input the title shown on the Native Ad. We recommend using the app name. (Up to 25 letters including spaces) 

      Description

      Input a description that explains your app well. (Up to 90 letters including spaces)

      Call To Action text

      Input a CTA (Call To Action) button text to encourage user action. Download NowInstall NowPlay NowBuy Now are commonly used depending on the campaign and your app.

      If your campaign targets Korea, refer to Kakao exchange creative guidelines to set the right CTA text. 

    7. You can see a preview of Native image creative on the right.
    8. Once all creatives have been added, click Create button.
  • Native video settings

    1. Click Native tab on the creative upload page.
    2. Click Video tab under Native type.
    3. You will see the list of native videos you've uploaded.
      Tip: Click Upload to add more videos or click Import to select video assets that have previously been uploaded.
    4. Under End cards, upload or import end card images.
    5. If you would like Moloco to auto-generate an end card, click Generate. We use your app's title, logo image, developer name, review, and rating info to create an end card image.

      Note: An image same as the native video's orientation (horizontal, vertical, and square) will be registered with the video. If you set up multiple video and image files together, we'll create all possible combinations of native video and image.
    6. Upload or import your App icon
    7. Fill out Business title, Description, and Call To Action text.

Video creatives

  • Check Video ads guides to ensure that the video creatives meet the creative guidelines and specs.
  • Samsung exchange has different guidelines on video creative. If you want to run your ads on Samsung exchange, refer to Samsung exchange creative guide.

  2. You will see the list of videos you've uploaded.
    Tip: Click Upload to add more videos or click Import to select video assets that have previously been uploaded.
  3. Under End cards, upload or import end card images.

  5. Once all creatives have been added, click Create button.

 

Pro-tip for creative naming 

By default, Moloco set up your creative title the same as your file's name with extension. You can also change the title of creative while uploading creatives.

  1. At the bottom of each creative type's tab, you can select the title format of the creatives by clicking on the   pencil icon under Title Format.
  2. Select 1 among the 3 options below to set the title of the creatives.
    • File name with extension will set the creative name as the file name including the file extension. For example: Video_1280x720.mp4
    • File name without extension will set the creative name as the file name without the file extension. For example: Video_1280x720
    • Custom can be used to manually enter creative names different than the file name.
