Creative settings

Follow the step-by-step guide below to add new creatives. To learn how to add creatives to creative groups, refer to Creative group settings.

Note: The exchanges and inventories available may vary depending on the creative(s) added. For more information, check out the Moloco creative & exchange guidelines.

 

Upload new creatives

  1. Select your ad account from the drop-down menu on the top left.
  2. Select your app from the left sidebar menu. 
  3. Click Creatives below the app.
  4. Click Create. This takes you to New Creatives where you can upload creatives of your choice.
  5. You can drag and drop files or click Select files to upload your image, native image, and video  all at once. Each creative asset is automatically categorized into respective tabs.___________2022-08-25_______9.21.01.png
  6. While creatives are being uploaded, you will see a file upload status window showing progress. 
    Note:  If the system displays an error message, the file isn't uploaded.___________2022-06-29______4.57.57.png
  7. To complete the upload process, follow the step-by-step instructions below by creative type.

 

Image creative

  • See Image ads guide to ensure that your images meet Moloco's creative guidelines and specs.
  • When running campaigns in South Korea, you can display your ads on Kakao inventories using Kakao Bizboard. See the Kakao exchange guide for more information about requirements and guidelines for creative assets.

 

  1. Under Images, you will see the list of images you have uploaded.
  2. You can click Generate to automatically generate images of all sizes or including all the sizes of existing images in the creative group. Moloco creates banners based on your app's store information. Alternatively, you can click Upload to add additional images or click Import to select image assets that have previously been uploaded.   3. For Title format, you can choose from one of the following options: File name with extension, File name without extension, and Custom.
    • File name with extension: You can use the file name including the file extension as the creative title. e.g., Video_1280x720.mp4
    • File name without extension: You can use the file name without the file extension as the creative title. e.g., Video_1280x720
    • Custom: You can manually enter a title.
  4. After all creatives have been added, click Create

 

Native creative

There are two types of native creative — native image and native video. We recommend registering both types.

  • See Native ads guide to ensure that your native creatives meet Moloco's creative guidelines and specs.
  • When running campaigns in South Korea, you can display your ads on Kakao inventories using Kakao Bizboard. See the Kakao exchange guide for more information about requirements and guidelines for creative assets.
  • Samsung exchange has its own guidelines on native creatives. If you want to run your ads on Samsung exchange, refer to the Samsung exchange creative guide.

 

Native image settings

    1. Click the Native Image tab under Creatives. You will see the list of native images you have uploaded.

    3. For Images, you can click Generate to automatically generate native images in different sizes of your choice. Moloco creates banners based on your app's store information.     4. Upload or import your App Icon.
    5. Enter Business title, Description, and Call To Action text. Choose Title format. All fields are required.
      Field Description
      Business title

      Enter a title for the native ad. We recommend using the app name. You can enter up to 25 letters including space.

      Description

      Enter a description of what your app does. You can enter up to 90 letters including space.

      Call To Action text

      Enter a Call to Action (CTA) button text to elicit user action. Download NowInstall NowPlay Now, and Buy Now are commonly used depending on the campaign and your app.

      If your campaign targets South Korea, refer to the Kakao exchange creative guidelines to set the correct CTA text. 

      Title format

      Choose one of the following options: File name with extension, File name without extension, and Custom.

      • File name with extension: You can use the file name including the file extension as the creative title. e.g., Video_1280x720.mp4
      • File name without extension: You can use the file name without the file extension as the creative title. e.g., Video_1280x720
      • Custom: You can manually enter a title.
    6. You can see a preview of the creative on the right.
    7. After all creatives have been added, click Create.

 

Native video settings

    1. Click the Native Video tab under Creatives. You will see the list of native videos you have uploaded.

    3. For Videos, you can click Upload to add additional videos or click Import to select video assets that have previously been uploaded.
    4. For End cards, you can click Upload to add additional end cards or click Import to select end cards that have previously been uploaded.       Note: An image matching the native video's orientation, either horizontal, vertical, or square, is also registered with the video. If you set up multiple video and image files together, the system creates all possible combinations of native video and native image.

    5. Upload or import your App icon.
    6. Enter Business title, Description, and Call To Action text. Choose Title format. All fields are required.

  4. After all creatives have been added, click Create.

 

Update a creative or create a new creative 

You can edit existing creatives to update creatives.

 

  1. Go to Creatives or Creative Groups and click the component to update. 
  2. Click Edit. This opens a window where you can upload a new component for the creative. ___________2023-01-10_______11.37.55.png
  3. Choose either Replace the creative to new one to update the creative or Create new creative and keep the original one to create a separate creative. 
  4. Click Save. Changes are automatically reflected in all creative groups the creative is linked to.___________2023-01-10_______11.38.16.png
