Creative group settings

  • Updated

You need to create a creative group to add creatives to your campaign. Learn how to create a new creative group and add new creatives to a creative group.

What is a creative group, and how do I use it?

A creative group is like a folder for your creative assets. With a creative group, you can set up schedules and analyze the data for each group. You can also save time by reusing the existing creative group for multiple campaigns.
The most common standard for grouping creatives is based on shared features. For example, if there are sets of dark and bright colored creatives that you want to run on different dates of the month, you can group all dark colored creatives under Group A and all bright colored creatives under Group B and set a schedule for each creative group.

Create a new creative group

Important: If you would like to upload multiple creatives and create multiple creative groups at once, see Upload multiple creative assets and assign to multiple creative groups. If you choose to create a single creative group, you will need to manually assign creatives to the creative group after it has been created.

  1. Select your ad account from the drop-down menu on the left.
  2. Select your app from the left sidebar menu.
  3. Click Creative Groups below the app. You can see a list of all creative groups you have added so far.
  4. Click Create. Clicking One creative group takes you to New Creative Group where you can configure settings for a new creative group.
  5. Enter or select a title for the creative group. You have the option to reuse one of the titles you are using for other creative groups. If you would like to enter a new title, we recommend using a combination of creative features, language, and date of upload to tell apart multiple creative groups. You can enter up to 200 characters. e.g., Black Friday_EN_202111 Screen_Shot_2023-01-20_at_3.30.16_PM.png
  6. Under Creatives, upload image, native image, native video, and video creatives. See Creative settings for detailed instructions. You should upload or import at least one creative to create a creative group.

Tip: If you are looking to run campaigns using the Kakao Bizboard, you can auto-generate images by clicking Add Kakao image and filling out all required details. To start using this feature, go to User settings > My info, click Moloco Labs, and toggle on Kakao Bizboard image generator. Screenshot 2024-04-11 at 3.06.48 PM.png

  9. [Optional] Under Additional settings, you can add a description, tracking link, and MMP report group ID for the creative group.
    • Description: Enter a description for the creative group to complement the creative group title.
    • Tracking link: You can set up a tracking link for a creative group. If the tracking link set at the creative group level is different than the one set at the campaign level, the creative group level tracking link takes precedence over its campaign level counterpart.
    • MMP report group ID: You can segment MMP report data by group name. You can only use lower case letters, and other special characters such as "_" or spaces aren't allowed. You should add the macro {{creativegroup.report_group}} to the tracking link to see the report group name you set on the MMP dashboard.

Note: The macro {{creativegroup.report_group}} will be deprecated in the near future. We recommend using {{creativegroup.id}} or {{creativegroup.title}} instead to include the creative group's ID or title in the MMP report.

  10. Click Create to complete the creative group creation process.
