In this article, you'll learn how to create and launch your campaign.
Create a new campaign
First, choose whether you'll be creating a user acquisition campaign or a re-engagement campaign. Then follow the appropriate steps below.
- Set up a user acquisition campaign if you'd like to acquire new users for your app.
- Set up a re-engagement campaign if you'd like to target users who have previously installed your app.
Set up a user acquisition campaign
- Select your ad account from the drop-down menu on the top left.
- Select your app on the left sidebar. If you haven't set up your app in Moloco Cloud, check our app settings article.
Note: You need to create separate campaigns for each operating system (Android/ iOS). The OS of the campaign will be set based on the selected OS of the app. - Click + Create Campaign button.
- Click Create new campaign. You can also copy your own campaign or resume campaign draft.

Under Campaign Goal, select User Acquisition.

Select your optimization goal. We provide Install, In-app event, and ROAS optimization goals for user acquisition campaigns.

Depending on the optimization goal you select, you may additionally need to set Bid Control Priority or App Event. You can see detailed guides and explanations in this article: How to choose the right campaign goal
- (Optional) Depending on the use case, you may want to control the options below. If so, click next to the Additional Settings to expand the options.
- LAT targeting and SKAdNetwork Settings
- LAT targeting: You can determine whether to show your ads on the devices which don't allow collecting ADID. The default setting is All devices since it's recommended to maximize the campaign reach. Learn more about LAT targeting
- (Only for iOS) SKAdNetwork Settings: You can check and modify SKAdNetwork-related settings specific to iOS campaigns. Learn how to set up SKAdNetwork campaigns
- LAT targeting and SKAdNetwork Settings
- Click Next and select the countries that you'd like to target. There are 2 options below:
- Single country targeting per campaign: With this option, you can select up to 20 countries, and create 20 different campaigns targeting each country at one time.
- Multiple countries targeting per campaign: With this option, you can target multiple countries within 1 campaign.
Important: To ensure optimal performance, we recommend pairing the languages used in your creatives with those of your target countries. Note that performance may be unstable immediately after you have made changes to your target selections.
- Click Next and fill out the title and description (optional). We recommend including app name, OS, campaign type, and geo for the campaign title.
Tip: If you select multiple countries with the Single country targeting per campaign option, you can set different titles for each campaign and target country by turning on Set by countries toggle.
- Set a budget for your campaign. There are 3 options to control your budget spending for app install campaign.
Important: We recommend at least US$250.00 – US$500.00 for successful campaign optimization.
Budget option Description Average Daily Budget (Recommended) The Average Daily Budget spend may vary up to 50% of the average daily budget, but you will not spend more than 7x your average daily budget within a week (Monday to Sunday). This option allows our models to spend the set budget to enhance campaign performance by each day of week.. Check how to leverage our Weekly Budget Optimizer Fixed - Daily Set the same fixed daily budgets for every day of the week Fixed - Day of Week Set different fixed daily budgets for each day of the week - Set Start/End Schedule of your campaign.
Note: The start date is automatically set according to your local browser time. However, the campaign’s actual start and end date will follow the advertiser’s timezone setting.
- Under Tracking Link, select an existing tracking link or add a new tracking link by clicking New tracking link button. Learn how to register a new tracking link
- (Optional) Select one in-app event under Conversion that you want to see counted in the dashboard. This is an optional setting only for reporting purposes and won't impact the campaign's optimization.
Important: You can check the conversion metric in Overview and Analytics. It takes up to 24 hours to reflect the data when the conversion is first set or when the configured conversion is changed. Please select the most important event carefully. If you select multiple events, the action metric in our Overview and Analytics will be displayed as a sum value for all selected actions.
- Click Next and review the details on the campaign creation review page, then click Submit button to create the campaign.

You'll now find the campaigns you created under your app. The campaign status is Submitted (Preparing) at first. Note that the campaign won't start if you don't turn on the toggle of the campaign. To launch the campaign, learn how to launch a campaign.
Set up a re-engagement campaign
Important
Due to Apple's iOS 14 policy update, the size of your retargeting audiences on iOS may not be enough depending on iOS 14.5+ users' opt-in rate both on your app and publisher app.
- Select your ad account from the drop-down menu on the top left.
- Select your app on the left sidebar. If you haven't set up your app in Moloco Cloud, check our app settings article.

Budget option Description Average Daily Budget (Recommended) Average Daily Budget spends daily budget 50% flexibly and does not exceed x7 of the average daily budget from Monday to Sunday. This option allows our machine to spend the set budget to enhance campaign performance flexibly. Launch a campaign
The campaign status is Submitted (Preparing) right after campaign setup while our system gathers the data required for the campaign's optimization model. During this stage, you can't launch your campaign.
About 1 to 2 hours after the campaign is created, the optimization model will be ready, and the campaign status will be changed to ollow the steps below to launch your campaign. Ready. Now, you can launch your campaign! F
Important: Before launching a campaign, please make sure that the correct tracking link and appropriate creative group(s) are added to the campaign.

Select your ad account from the drop-down menu on the top left.

Click Overview tab.

Select your app under All Apps from the left sidebar menu.

Scroll down to see the list of campaigns.

Change the On/Off toggle to
On for the campaign you want to launch. -
Click YES when asked "Are you sure you want to launch this campaign?"

If campaign status becomes Active, that means you successfully launch your campaign. Find a detailed explanation of campaign status

You can deactivate the campaign by changing the On/Off toggle to
Off.
