Playable and Interactive End Card (IEC) creative guide

  • Updated

Standalone playables and Interactive End Cards (IECs) are ad formats that allow users to get a quick snapshot of the key features of the advertised app by letting them engage in an interactive demo. An IEC includes a video ad of the advertised app immediately before the interactive demo, and a standalone playable consists of only the interactive demo. These ad formats are most readily used for gaming apps but we are seeing increased adoption in consumer apps as well. To learn how to upload standalone playables and IECs to Moloco Ads, see the creative settings guide

Creative guidelines

Based on findings from our internal analyses, we recommend your creatives include the following attributes.

  • For gaming apps, include dynamic and engaging elements that let users choose from multiple options to allow for a more immersive and interactive experience (e.g., users can drag and move characters at high speed, users can tap or select to continue, etc.).

  • Clearly demonstrate how to play the game or use the advertised product by using design components to guide users (e.g., a finger icon indicating where users should click next).

  • Keep text elements to a minimum, especially when targeting users worldwide.

  • Be sure that the experience is long enough for users to explore various features of the advertised game or product.
